Honkomatsu Stone Book Stand - Small - A1-2

Honkomatsu Stone Book Stand - Small - A1-2

Created by Masakazu Umino

These solid bookends are hewn from Honkomatsu stone, a rare and storied material quarried in Manazuru, Kanagawa. Renowned for its use in Edo Castle and temple architecture, Honkomatsu stone is prized for its dense structure, natural strength, and timeless beauty.

Each bookend retains a raw, hand-finished surface, celebrating the organic character of the stone while providing substantial weight to securely hold books in place. Their minimalist, natural form makes them a versatile accent—equally suited to a modern study, a traditional library, or a refined interior space.
